We're searching for the next top dog!

Mark your calendars! On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September from 11am – 4pm, Clarks Village is rolling out the red carpet for our Pawsome Pooch weekend – a two-day celebration for dogs and their owners. 

Expect a weekend line-up of free activities, from professional pet photo shoots and grooming sessions to impressive trick displays, an action-packed agility course, and live illustrations of your furry friends. It’s the ultimate doggy day out you won’t want to miss!

Think your dog could be our next star?

Alongside all the action, our judges will be sniffing out the next Canine Executive Officer of Clarks Village! One winning pup will be crowned our ultimate top dog and take charge of all things pooch-related. Plus, our new CEO (and their owner!) will win £500 in shopping vouchers. 

Our new champion will follow in the paw-prints of last year’s winner, Dudley, the three-legged Hungarian Vizsla who has become a familiar face and local pup celebrity at Clarks Village.

To enter, either join PLUS+ and be the first to know when our pre-bookable slots are made available for photography sessions, or alternatively, seek out our roaming photographers at the event over the Pawsome Pooch weekend.

Our judges will then shortlist ten entrants, and the public will vote on our Facebook and Instagram pages to choose the winner. 

Even if your dog doesn't win, everyone who books a photography session will receive a digital copy of their pooch's picture.

POOCH PAMPERING

Treat your pup to a mini makeover at our Pooch Pampering Studio, hosted by Somerset-based grooming specialists About the Dog. Each 5 to 10 minute session includes trims, nail clips, breath refresh, ear and face tidy, brushing and de-shedding, and a spritz of natural fragrance. Sessions are available on a walk-up basis.

PAW-TRAITS SKETCH STATION

Want a keepsake of your best furry friend? Renowned illustrator and author Alan Snow will be creating quick-fire, bespoke sketches of your pooch – either in person or from a photo. Each piece will be beautifully framed for you to treasure, with charity donations encouraged in support of a local animal shelter.

DOG TRICKS AND FUN

Hosted by Rachael from Passion for Pets, dogs of all breeds are invited to try out fun tricks throughout the day. Learn new moves, show off your dog’s talents, and enjoy some hands-on fun together. Sessions are available on a walk-up basis.

DOGGY TREATS!

New this year, a pick n mix dog treat cart! Let your pup become the ultimate snack selector, choosing from a tasty variety of healthy treats to take home.

MEET THE POOCH-LOVING CRUFTS LADIES

The fabulous Crufts Ladies will be roaming Clarks Village, running the pick n mix station, and awarding on-the-spot prizes for Best Pup Vocals, Best Outfit, and Best Paw-Shake.

This year, we’re proud to support Guide Dogs for the Blind, helping people with sight loss live independently with the support of trained dogs and volunteers.
