Ready, set, go! Race into summer at Clarks Village
Mini racing drivers, this is the summer activity for you! Get ready to take the wheel as the exciting Lightning Loop arrives at Clarks Village this August.
Junior driving experience
Running daily from 1st – 31st August, this high-speed attraction gives children aged three to 12 the chance to climb into their very own mini Formula One-style car and put their driving skills to the test on a thrilling race circuit.
With its fun design, complete with a raised track, inflatable barriers and a dramatic 'Ready, Set, Go' starting arch, it's the perfect activity for little racers with big imaginations.
Whether they're chasing the chequered flag or simply enjoying the ride, it's a fantastic way to add even more fun to your family day out at Clarks Village this summer.
Operating daily between 10am and 5pm, each 12 to 15-minute session costs £8 per child, with discounted £6 tickets available through PLUS+.

How does it work?
Young drivers will take part in a pre-race safety briefing before heading onto the track in one of four branded 24V mini F1 cars. The vehicles include steering wheel sound effects, engine noises and LED lighting, creating an immersive racing experience. Children can also choose to wear race suits and helmets before taking to the circuit, while a winners' podium and oversized trophy provide the perfect photo opportunity after the chequered flag falls.
Every young racer will receive a souvenir driver's licence to take home, while competition giveaways and sponsorship opportunities will add to the excitement throughout the month.

As the home of Lando Lane, there’s no place like Clarks Village to get into the F1 spirit. Renamed in honour of the Somerset hero and Formula 1 Champion Lando Norris, it’s the ideal spot for celebratory photo moments with your little racers after a day at the Lightning Loop.
