Going green!

Clarks Village has launched a new eco-planting project to boost biodiversity and bring its green spaces to life.

Over 600 native shrubs and plants have been added near the Westway entrance along the A39, creating a new wildlife-friendly hedge filled with blossom, berries, and shelter for birds and pollinators. A second hedge, made from super shrub Cotoneaster Franchetii - proven to soak up 20% more pollution - now borders the main car park.

Next to the adventure playground, a once-quiet grassy patch has been turned into a buzzing wildflower meadow. With over 30 UK-native flower species, a future bug hotel, and spring bulbs on the way, it's set to become a mini haven for pollinators.

This project reflects Clarks Village’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. The outlet uses 100% renewable electricity, recycles nearly 75% of its on-site waste, and sends zero waste to landfill.

“Sustainability is a key priority for Clarks Village - for now and for the future,” says Centre Director Chris Davis. “Our green spaces offer the perfect opportunity to make meaningful changes that benefit the local environment and community.”
